Welcome! My name is Amy Chandler, she/her, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) providing psychotherapy to individuals and couples.
I believe that authentic connection, reflective insight, and empathic truth-telling can be transformative. It is vital to us as humans to be present and to hold the complexity of our lives: how we have been hurt and how we have been cared for; how we feel devasted and how we feel resilient; what we have lost and what is still possible; our most tender injuries and our most bad-ass capacities.
Communities and relationships are complex in how they injure, oppress, support and sustain us. From family to culture, part of my work is helping individuals and couples understand the ways they have been shaped by historic, intergenerational and present day systems and relationships.

Therapy
Finding a therapist who feels like a good fit is an important part of the process. I take the first few sessions to make sure my knowledge, skill sets, and style align with your needs.
I recognize you want to feel safe, heard and helped. Using curiosity, compassion and accountability, we will identify your goals, deepen your understanding of self, explore what gets in the way, and help cultivate a life that, even when challenging, feels meaningful.
My 25+ years of experience and training have given me techniques, competencies and expertise to help you. Over time, we will work together to reinforce and strengthen how you understand yourself and cope with life’s challenges.
With a grounded and gentle strength, I enjoy guiding and collaborating with my clients in service of their growth, goals, and well-being.
Consultation
For many therapists this work is more than a career, it is a calling. We put more than our minds into this work, we offer our empathy, emotional and physiological attunement, and care.
I believe therapists need spaces to share their own curiosities, vulnerabilities, vicarious impacts and triumphs. Consultation is one of those vital spaces.
For a over a decade, I trained emerging therapists through the Natalie Haimowitz Postgraduate Fellowship Program at Womencare Counseling & Training Center. I honed my consultation skills and learned the privilege and value of supporting therapists in their clinical work and professional growth.
I offer clinical consultation to therapists throughout their careers who are looking for an attachment-based, trauma informed, relational and/or anti-oppression lens.
